ACIT LAW ENFORCEMENT AND PUBLIC SAFETY ACADEMY PROGRAM
Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT) and Absegami High School are collaborating to host a brand new Academy Program designed to prepare students for careers in law enforcement, firefighting, emergency services, and other related fields. The curriculum of the program will include courses in criminal justice, law enforcement, and emergency services. Students will have the opportunity to participate in internships, job shadowing, and other hands on learning experiences with local law enforcement agencies and public safety organizations. In addition to academic coursework, students in these programs may also receive specialized training in areas such as CPR, first aid, 911 Dispatcher and other industry valued credentials. Participation in this program can provide students with a strong foundation and help them develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in these careers. Hands-On Training: Get real-world experience. Expert Instructors: Learn from professionals with years of experience in their field. Classroom and Fieldwork: Combine theory with practical, hands-on experience. Career Guidance: Explore a variety of options in the field, including college and non-college opportunities. Community Involvement: Make a positive impact in your community. Leadership Development: Build essential leadership skills and learn the traits needed for these high-demand, high-compensation careers. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS: WHO CAN JOIN?: Incoming High School freshman throughout Atlantic County. Those committed to making a difference in their community. Students interested in a future with law enforcement, firefighting, EMS and other public service.
